In July, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput presided over the Blessing and Dedication of Pennsylvania’s first “Homeless Jesus” sculpture outside of Saint John’s Hospice, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The life-size bronze sculpture has been installed in more than 50 cities worldwide. It represents the presence of Christ among the most marginalized and vulnerable members of society.
This week, BetterWorldians Radio interviewed Karen Beyer, the statue’s benefactor, the sculptor Timothy Schamlz, and David Steir director of Saint John’s Hospice.
