Six seminarians from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary will stop at Saint John’s Hospice (SJH) during the third annual vocations awareness bike tour and serve lunch to men experiencing homelessness. SJH is a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS).
Upon arrival, the seminarians will be greeted by a group of SJH representatives and supporters.
Most Reverend John J. McIntyre, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, and Reverend David Friel, Director of the Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood, will join in distributing meals.

Biking for Vocations 2021 is a five day pilgrimage (August 4-8) designed to raise awareness of vocations to the priesthood and generate support for seminarians currently studying in the Seminary’s program of priestly formation. It also provides the opportunity for fellowship, prayer, and sharing the Gospel message.
This year, 10 seminarian bikers will be leaving Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and heading into two separate parts of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. One group will also cycle into the Diocese of Allentown.
