Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Named “Service Provider Of The Year” By Real Alternatives for Ninth Consecutive Year

This annual award is presented to the provider agency that has served the most pregnant women in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. For the ninth consecutive year, Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) has been named as Pennsylvania’s “Service Provider of the Year” by Real Alternatives, a non-profit, charitable organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that administers pregnancy and parenting support services. Ms. Amy Stoner, director of CSS’s Community-Based and Housing and Homeless Services Division, along with CSS staff were presented with the award at Real Alternatives’ annual conference on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Amy said, “It’s an honor to once again accept this award on behalf of our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to ensure that every pregnant mother who seeks help from Catholic Social Services during their pregnancy receives the compassionate care and assistance they need.” She continued, “Over the last year, our staff

I am deeply grateful to the Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States for their willingness to hear this matter and for their ultimate opinion. Today’s decision from our Nation’s highest court is a profound one that rings loudly in Philadelphia and reverberates throughout the Country. It brings light and relief for children in need of loving homes and for the heroic foster parents who open their hearts and doors to care for them. The ruling issued today is also a crystal clear affirmation of First Amendment rights for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and all charitable ministries in the United States who are inspired by their faith to serve the most vulnerable among us.
