Pregnancy Support Through Catholic Social Services
Catholic Social Services is committed to helping and supporting pregnant women. We offer over a dozen programs that help pregnant moms. We provide access to baby supplies, access to prenatal support, parenting classes and so much more.
Catholic Social Services does not provide abortions, nor do we refer anyone for an abortion.
The Cenacle at Padre Pio Center is a family nurturing center designed to support pregnant women, new parents, families, and extended families as they build their skills as the first teachers in the life of a child. Services include pregnancy and parenting education, food and diaper pantries, health literacy, educational workshops, and other supportive services. Through partnership with the ProLife Union of Greater Philadelphia we help build a Culture of Life where every life is respected and protected.
Our mission at Catholic Social Services is to help those with unexpected pregnancies choose life and make an adoption plan. Our adoption services allow birth parents to find support, children to find loving homes, and for families to expand.
Adoption services through Catholic Social Services assist families seeking to expand their homes and hearts with the gift of adoption. Birth parents receive counseling and other supportive services, allowing them to explore and consider their options to make an informed decision about whether to place their child for adoption.
Guiding Star Ministries through Catholic Social Services in a partnership with the Pro-life Union of Greater Philadelphia is a home for single, pregnant women and their children under 5 years old and living in Philadelphia. Through counseling, group meetings, and a nurturing faith-based environment, we try to help our residents work toward total independence. During their stay, mothers must pursue employment or education. Our aim for every resident is to build a solid foundation of faith and responsibility that will help them become successful.
Lily’s Gift is a network of concerned parents and professionals who have experienced or worked closely with issues surrounding poor prenatal diagnosis. Lily’s Gift offers a free service of practical guidance and compassionate care focusing on meeting the needs of expectant parents as they seek to honor the life of their baby no matter how frail or how brief.
Catholic Social Services provides assistance and information to those who have previously chosen abortion. Project Rachel, a ministry of the Catholic Church in the United States, offers help and healing to those who have been involved in abortion. If you or someone you know is suffering after abortion, confidential, non-judgmental help is available from Project Rachel Ministry.
